Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana to benefit all state-government employees and pensioners

All the state government employees and pensioners of Uttarakhand will soon be covered under the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana (AAUY), with effect from January 26. A monthly deduction will be made from the salaries of the employees for the scheme.

The scheme, which was launched on the birth anniversary of Late Atal Bihar Vajpayee, provides free treatment facility to the people of Uttarakhand. Medical facilities up to rupees five lakh per annum is provided to all the families of the state under this scheme.

This facility will be offered in state-government hospitals and listed private hospitals. In case of emergencies, the facility will also be offered on direct admission in listed private hospitals.

The officers of the State Health Agency (SHA) have been instructed to conduct regular inspections and audits of the empanelled hospitals. The progress being made is being tracked through the district magistrates.

Formal letters will be sent to the beneficiaries of the scheme containing a unique QR code that will help procure treatment for the beneficiaries and their families.

All the empanelled hospitals have been instructed to highlight the scheme, the diseases and conditions covered and all the information pertaining to golden cards and QR codes.
