Baby & Mom Retail, a Gurugram-based house of brand that deals with baby care, skin care, pet care, and bedding solutions, is offering paid leave to its employees so that they can travel to be part of the Mahakumbh.

The company believes that “cultural participation” of this nature will be beneficial for the mental well-being of the employees. The objective of this leave is to allow employees to enjoy a calm and rejuvenating experience. This will also give the employees a chance to strike a balance between their professional commitments and their urge to be part of their culture.

This leave reflects Baby & Mom Retail’s commitment to prioritising the mental health of employees even while respecting their religious and cultural sentiments. It is hoped that the employees will return to work relaxed, recharged and thoroughly refreshed.

According to Shish Kharesiya, founder and CEO, Baby & Mom Retail, “Mahakumbh is not just a religious gathering; it is a once-in-a-lifetime festival that holds deep spiritual and cultural significance. It’s an opportunity for reflection, renewal and connection with our roots.” Therefore, the company felt “it’s important for our team to experience such moments without worrying about work commitments.”

By granting this paid leave to employees to travel to Prayagraj, the company is also trying to strengthen its bond with its team members. Kharesiya stated how they are not just a business but a family.
