    Additions made to Manappuram’s leadership with new group general counsel, group CCO

    Manappuram Finance has appointed Sanjay Nambiar as group general counsel and Ashish N Chandak as group chief compliance officer (Group–CCO).

    Manappuram Finance has appointed Sanjay Nambiar as group general counsel and Ashish N Chandak as group chief compliance officer (Group–CCO).

    Sanjay Nambiar is backed by over three decades of experience, with 25 years in the banking and financial space itself. His most recent role was that of group general counsel at Yes Bank, where he headed a team of 80 legal professionals and advised the Board on legal, regulatory, and governance issues.

    He began his professional journey as an advocate at the Calicut Bar Association and the Kerala High Court, and went on to hold leadership positions at Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, IDBI and the Stressed Assets Stabilisation Fund (Ministry of Finance), Asset Reconstruction Company (ARCIL), as well as ICICI Bank.

    He holds a BA, LLB, and LLM from Government Law College, Calicut, and has also completed a senior management programme at IIM Kozhikode.

    Ashish N Chandak was earlier chief compliance officer, Yes Bank and headed the bank’s fraud risk management function. He also brings almost three decades of experience, having worked across the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector handling business development, credit risk, advisory, governance, compliance, AMK and fraud risk management.

    Chandak completed his Engineering and Management from the MS University of Baroda.
