Sai Life Sciences, a leading Indian contract research, development and manufacturing organisation (CRDMO), plans to hire at least 700 professionals in 2026–27. The company is expanding to meet rising global demand for end-to-end drug discovery, development, and manufacturing services.

The new roles will span a wide range of functions, including medicinal chemistry, biology, drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK), process and analytical development, formulation, engineering, technology transfer, quality, peptides, business development, program management, and manufacturing.

A key focus of the hiring drive is to attract top-tier scientists from India and abroad. This reflects the growing complexity of projects handled by Sai Life Sciences and the higher expectations global pharmaceutical companies now place on Indian CRDMOs.

The company sees this expansion as a response to global shifts in supply chains, the need for reliable development partners, and the increasing sophistication of outsourced scientific work. Sai Life Sciences aims to build the right infrastructure, strengthen digital and quality systems, and deepen its scientific capabilities to serve this demand at scale.

For scientists, the company believes this is a unique opportunity to work on high-impact global programs while being based in India. It hopes to attract

Indian talent from around the world by offering meaningful work without compromising on scientific standards or career growth.

The new hires will support advanced areas such as complex small-molecule synthesis, high-throughput experimentation, data-driven drug discovery, and large-scale commercial manufacturing.

To support long-term careers, Sai Life Sciences has launched a global alumni platform and is investing in learning, leadership development, and internal mobility. The company operates in India, the UK and the US, with its largest R&D campus in Hyderabad, where most of the new roles will be based. It currently employs over 3,400 professionals.
