NielsenIQ has named Poornima Subramanian as its India GCC HR leader, a move that strengthens the consumer intelligence company’s people focus for its Global Capability Centre operations in India. Her promotion marks a key milestone as she enters her 20th year in human resources.

In her new role, Subramanian will oversee all aspects of people and talent for NIQ’s India GCC. She plans to scale the workforce, enhance employee experience, deepen talent development, and lead HR transformation initiatives that support both business growth and team success.

Subramanian brings nearly two decades of HR experience across India and global markets. She started her career after completing an MBA in HR & systems from Thiagaraja School of Management in 2007. She then spent close to 11 years at Ramco Systems from June 2007 to February 2018 as a manager – human resources. There, she worked on HR business partnering, compensation, HR analytics, HRIS, employee engagement and performance management, supporting teams in India, South Africa, the Middle East and Sudan.

She moved to BNY Mellon Technology India as a senior HR advisor for one year from March 2018 to March 2019. After that, she joined D4 Insight as a senior manager – HR for almost three years from March 2019 to December 2021, where she led the full HR function and built workplace culture and employee experience.

Subramanian joined NielsenIQ in December 2021 as an associate director – human resources and spent four years and seven months in the role. During this time she helped improve engagement, organisation effectiveness and key people programmes and supported Great Place to Work efforts. Her promotion shows NielsenIQ’s aim to build strong leaders as it expands its India GCC.

With skills in talent management, workforce planning, HR technology, rewards, and analytics, Subramanian says growth comes from disciplined learning, resilience, and the courage to change.

HRKatha congratulates her on her promotion and wishes her all the best in this elevated role!
