Instamart has appointed Nandita Sinha as its new chief executive officer. She will assume charge on 3 August, succeeding Amitesh Jha, the company announced today.
Sinha joins Instamart from Myntra, where she served as CEO and steered the fashion e-commerce platform to market leadership. Under her leadership, Myntra turned EBITDA profitable in 2024 and continued to expand its share in a crowded market.
Sriharsha Majety, managing director and group CEO of Swiggy, Instamart’s parent company, described Sinha as one of India’s most accomplished consumer internet leaders and said the team was excited about the vision, customer focus, and operational discipline she would bring as they entered the next phase of growth for Instamart.
Majety also acknowledged Jha’s contribution, noting he led Instamart through a key growth period. During his tenure, the platform doubled down on differentiation with launches such as Noice and improved its contribution margins. Majety added that Jha had built a strong, high-performing culture and was leaving the business in a solid position, and that they wished him the very best.
On her appointment, Sinha said she was attracted to Instamart’s customer-first culture and the large opportunity ahead. She noted that Instamart was central to how India shopped for daily needs and expressed her eagerness to work with the team, partners and customers to lead the next phase of growth.
A consumer internet veteran with 20+ years of experience, Sinha has held leadership roles at Flipkart, Britannia and HUL across fashion, e-commerce, and FMCG. She will now focus on strengthening Instamart’s differentiated assortment, improving profitability, and sharpening operational execution.
Launched in August 2020, Instamart is India’s quick-commerce platform operating in 131+ cities. It uses proprietary technology and a dedicated delivery fleet to deliver groceries and daily essentials.
