Dream11, one of India’s leading fantasy sports platforms and the flagship brand of Dream Sports, has elevated Emmaline Rao to vice president–human resources, strengthening its people leadership.
Based in Mumbai and in the role since August 2026, Rao will leverage her extensive experience in people strategy, leadership development, workforce planning, employee engagement and HR transformation to support Dream11’s next phase of growth.
Prior to this appointment, Emmaline Rao was a head – HR at Dream Money from April 2026 to July 2026. In that role, she aligned people strategy with business goals, shaped organisational design and hiring strategies, drove annual people planning, budgeting and headcount management, built AI-enabled employee experience, coached leaders on performance and talent development, and led initiatives to improve operational efficiency and organisational effectiveness.
Rao has been with the Dream11 group for five years. She started as a manager – HRBP from September 2020 to July 2022, was elevated to senior manager – HRBP from July 2022 to June 2024, and then served as director – HR from July 2024 to March 2026, before moving to Dream Money.
Prior to Dream11, Rao built a strong foundation at Edelweiss Financial Services across seven years, serving as associate-HRBP from May 2013 to March 2015, assistant manager – HRBP from April 2015 to March 2017,manager – HRBP from April 2017 to May 2019, and manager – employee experience from June 2019 to August 2020.
She began her HR career with Web18 Software Services as HR coordinator in 2008 and executive – product management in 2009-10, followed by a two-year stint as HR executive – corporate initiatives at Syntel from March 2010 to October 2012.
