Axis Bank, one of the largest private sector banks in India, has launched ARISE Homecoming, a dedicated hiring initiative designed to connect globally educated Indian talent with career opportunities in the country.
The bank said the programme is open to Indian students who are currently pursuing or have recently completed their education at overseas universities, as well as early-career professionals with up to two years of international work experience. It emphasised that the initiative extends its hiring philosophy beyond geographies and will welcome applicants across degrees, disciplines and institutions, with a focus on skills, potential and role fit.
The launch comes against the backdrop of a growing overseas Indian student population. According to data cited by the bank, about 12.54 lakh Indian students were enrolled in higher education institutions abroad in 2025, representing a significant pool of talent with global exposure and diverse perspectives. Axis Bank said it aims to enable this talent to participate in India’s next phase of economic and industry transformation.
Commenting on the initiative, Rajkamal Vempati, Group Head – Human Resources, Axis Bank, said careers today are increasingly shaped by choice, purpose and the opportunity to create impact. She said through ARISE Homecoming, the bank is creating a pathway for globally educated Indian talent to build fulfilling careers at Axis Bank, and to learn, lead and grow as banking and financial services continue to evolve.
Under ARISE Homecoming, candidates will be able to explore opportunities across business, technology, digital, strategy, wealth, governance and other functions, aligned to the bank’s requirements.
