Corporates across the country are doing their bit to safeguard their employees and their dependents by facilitating inoculation.

Samsung India has organised on-site vaccination camps this week across its centres in Gurugram, Noida, Bengaluru and even its factory at Sriperumbudur, Chennai. The aim is to inoculate its over 50,000-strong workforce.

In some locations, the employees’ family members also joined in the vaccination programme. These vaccination drives will be extended to other cities too in the coming weeks. The Company will be covering the vaccination costs for more than 50,000 eligible employees and beneficiaries in India, including all Samsung Experience Consultants (store promoters), who work at electronics retail stores across the country.

Meanwhile, Vistara, has successfully got almost 100 per cent of its eligible employees vaccinated with the first dose of the vaccine, including the Airline’s cabin crew, pilots, airport staff and corporate staff. This was achieved via the airport-led drives across India, and the drive led by Vistara in Delhi and Mumbai. Vistara, a joint venture of the Tata Group and Singapore Airlines, is reimbursing the costs of vaccination for its staff and all the crew have been given time off post vaccination, as per DGCA guidelines. The drive ensured inoculation of employees, their dependents, off-roll staff, such as ground handlers, as well as staff from Singapore Airlines and partner airlines.

Embassy Group, the Bengaluru-based real-estate development company, has offered free vaccination for all staff across India. The Group has a 1,867-strong workforce in the country. The vaccination drive began on June 1, and covers all employees in Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai and NCR.

CARS24, the Indian e-commerce platform for pre-owned vehicles, which operates in more than 130 cities in India, has also begun a vaccination drive in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, to benefit all its employees across the country. The benefit can be availed by two family members of each employee, even if they are located in a different city. The drive began in May, starting with Bangalore, followed by Gurugram. The facility will be extended to other locations too in the coming weeks.
