Fulcrum Digital to add 800 tech roles in 9 months on back of major AI contract

Hiring spree targets AI, engineering and client-facing roles as demand for enterprise AI transformation accelerates

Fulcrum Digital is set to expand its global workforce with 800 new technology hires over the next nine months. The move comes after the company secured a large-scale contract with a marquee enterprise client and is seeing rising demand for AI-led digital transformation.

The recruitment drive will cut across India, the EU, and the US. Openings include core engineering roles such as Java developers with Spring Boot and microservices experience, .NET Core engineers, and SQL specialists. The company is also hiring for data engineering, DevOps, test automation, and technical programme managers to lead complex, cross-functional programmes.

A major focus of the expansion is on AI-native capabilities. Fulcrum Digital is adding specialists in AI solution architecture, MLOps, prompt engineering, and a new profile it calls “forward-deployed engineers” – technologists who work directly with clients to deploy, tune, and scale AI solutions in live business environments.

According to the company, the profile of tech talent in demand has shifted over the last 18 months. Beyond data scientists and ML engineers, enterprises now want professionals who can connect AI to measurable business outcomes.

The company emphasised that the most valuable AI talent today extends beyond technical expertise. According to Fulcrum Digital, the focus is on professionals who can take AI into real business environments and deliver measurable results at scale.

Fulcrum Digital also highlighted a dual approach to talent building. The leadership noted that relying solely on the external market is not enough to win in AI. The company is investing in both recruitment and internal development, with structured pathways designed to upskill strong engineers into AI practitioners capable of driving enterprise value.

The hiring push reflects a broader structural change in how enterprises adopt AI. As AI moves into core operations, the line between software development and implementation is blurring. Fulcrum Digital’s strategy is to build that hybrid, client-facing engineering capability at scale.

Fulcrum Digital is a global provider of enterprise AI and digital-transformation services, helping large organisations integrate AI into core operations and customer experiences.
