Emirates Airline posted a record profit of $6.2 billion in FY 2023-24, and it has decided to share this achievement with its employees in the form of a bonus. Twenty-two weeks’ salary will be offered to the 1.20 lakh employees as bonus and reward for their hard work and contribution to the airline’s success. This would be equal to about 42 per cent of the basic pay of the employees, including the ground staff and flight crew regardless of their tenure in the company or rank.

There is no fixed calculation for the payouts, as they will be given on the discretion of the leadership on the basis of financial performance.

The basic salary does not include additional income such as the hourly payment made to cabin crew. Therefore, the payout will differ from person to person. However, it is guaranteed to be an attractive amount. .

Emirates has, in the past, been rather generous with sharing its profits with its staff members whenever it has performed well in terms of revenues.

Earlier this year, the Emirates Group had unveiled Wejhaty, a cutting-edge lounge at its headquarters, revolutionising employee and candidate experiences. Derived from the Arabic word for ‘my destination’, this state-of-the-art hub serves global candidates, new joiners, current employees, and retirees. Spanning 22,770 sq. ft., Wejhaty represents a significant step forward in workplace hospitality.
