MathCo, the artificial intelligence (AI) , data analytics and engineering firm, is gearing up for significant expansion. The company plans to onboard 400 additional employees by the end of this fiscal year, aiming to take its global workforce strength to 1,800. This follows the recruitment of 400 employees earlier this fiscal.

The hiring drive focuses on technical roles such as AI/ML engineers, data engineers, data scientists and consumption specialists. To support the growing technical team, MathCo will also bolster its enablement functions.

While a substantial portion of the hiring will come from fresh talent directly from campuses, the company is also recruiting experienced professionals across various profiles to ensure a well-rounded workforce.

With Generative AI (GenAI) rapidly emerging as a critical area of focus, MathCo is balancing its approach by investing in internal upskilling and recruiting new talent with expertise in this domain. This dual strategy aims to strengthen the firm’s capabilities in the evolving AI landscape.

Fresh graduates joining MathCo participate in the ‘Challengers Programme,’ a comprehensive 16-week training initiative. This programme combines technical and domain learning with innovative thinking and collaborative skills development.

Participants undergo over 200 hours of classroom training conducted by in-house experts, covering 35+ topics spanning consulting, engineering, custom products and GenAI. The programme concludes with a Capstone project, where participants tackle real-world challenges from start to finish, followed by assessments to ensure they are ready to contribute effectively.

MathCo’s hiring aligns with its revenue-growth forecasts and the increasing adoption of new tools and technologies. As the company scales its portfolio and offerings, this workforce expansion is expected to play a crucial role in driving its growth.
