Adani Power has announced the onboarding of Amitabh Mishra as CHRO. Mishra has already been associated with the Adani Group for over 15 years.

In the initial years of his professional journey, Mishra worked with Thermax as senior executive-HR. Two years later, he moved to Coromandel Fertilisers-Murugappa Group, as corporate HR manager. He stayed put there for eight years, from 1999 to 2007.

Mishra’s next stop was Saint Gobain Abrasives (Grindwell Norton), where he worked as senior manager-HR, for two years.

Amitabh Mishra’s association with the Adani Group began in October of 2009 as AVP-HR and OD. He was made head of human resources in 2010 and then elevated to VP and head-HR in 2015.

He looked after organisation development, as well as performance and talent management at the Group level. It is pertinent to mention here that the Group has interests in diverse fields such as coal mining & trading, power generation and transmission, ports, SEZ, real estate, agro trading, edible oil, city gas distribution, oil & gas exploration, shipping, logistics and so on.

Mishra will be taking over from Sanjay Argade, who has been with Adani Power for over 16 years now. He was vice president-HR for 15 years, from 2008 to 2024. He was elevated to head-HR in May 2024. He will reportedly move to another role within the Group.

As per filings, the consolidate revenue of Adani Power for the third quarter of FY25 was 11 per cent higher than in the third quarter of FY24. It was Rs 13,355 crore in FY24 and Rs 14,833 crore in FY25.
