Hero Cycles, an Indian bicycle-manufacturing firm, has appointed Arpit Jain as its new head-human resources and administration. He is being appointed at a time when the company is accelerating its focus on strengthening workplace culture and aligning talent strategies with long-term business goals.
In a LinkedIn update, Jain expressed excitement about the opportunity, which will see him working out of Gurugram. He will oversee both the HR and administrative functions of the organisation. His key priorities include building a performance-driven culture, implementing agile HR practices, and ensuring the company’s talent ecosystem supports its evolving business ambitions.
With over 10 years of experience in human resources, Jain brings deep expertise in driving people transformation across diverse industries. Before joining Hero Cycles, he served as head-HR at Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail in 2024. There, he played a central role in advancing people-first strategies for high-end brands, notably Tasva—a joint venture between Aditya Birla and designer Tarun Tahiliani. His tenure was marked by the implementation of employee-centric frameworks, modern HR systems, and focused efforts in leadership development.
Jain holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development (SCMHRD). Over the years, he has built a track record of managing complex organisational challenges and driving strategic HR interventions.
His earlier career includes impactful stints at Bharti Airtel Foundation / Airtel Digital TV, Mahindra Group’s Commercial Vehicles Division and AkzoNobel. His expertise lies in succession planning, digital transformation of HR operations, and cultural renewal.
