After serving Livasa Hospitals as CEO since October of 2023, Dr Pawan Kumar has moved to CARE Hospitals in a similar capacity.
Pawan Kumar, who is a doctor of medicine (MD, Anesthesiology), has also completed a Postgraduate Programme in Management, Healthcare, from the Indian School of Business.
After interning at JIPMER, Pondicherry, he went on to become a junior resident (anaesthesia) at PGIMER, Chandigarh, in July of 2008. In 2011 he served as senior resident (neuroanaesthesia), at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore for a while before moving to Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI), Lucknow, as senior resident.
He then joined Max Healthcare, as senior manager (LEAD programme), in 2013. April of 2014 was witness to him being promoted to general manager (operations), based out of Greater Noida. He had reached the position of general manager and director (Alps Hospitals) by the time he moved on from Max to Cloudnine Group of Hospitals.
Dr Pawan Kumar served as regional director for Cloudnine Group of Hospitals from 2017 to 2023. December of 2021 saw him being elevated to chief operating officer (COO).
His association with Livasa began in October of 2023.
Now, in his new assignment with CARE Hospitals, Dr Kumar will be tasked with spearheading the organisation’s strategic direction, operations and expansion, driving its vision to provide quality and accessible healthcare across India.
Dr Kumar is backed by deep expertise in business strategy, P&L management and team leadership. He brings to the table a rare combination of clinical insight and strategic foresight.
