An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, Gaurav Bagga went on to obtain an MSc in Computer Science from University of Southern California in 2011.
After interning with Abbott Medical Optics as software engineering intern, in California, US, Gaurav Bagga joined MarkMonitor as big data engineer, in June of 2011, based out of San Francisco, California. For over a year, he collaborated directly with the CTO, playing a key role in developing Brand Protection solutions that positioned MarkMonitor as the global leader in counterfeit, piracy and fraud protection.
In October, 2012 he moved to Whoopie Technologies, as co-founder/CTO. For the next two years and eight months he worked out of Gurugram, India, he successfully raised seed funding, led an eight-member team, scaled adoption and delivered loyalty campaigns at national scale.
He then co-founded DeliverOye, and played CTO for a short while before beginning an association with Paytm Labs, where he spent three and a half years looking after cloud, big data, platform and Devops. He architected marketing automation platform for 400m+ users, powering 900m+ daily campaigns and nudges, working out of Toronto, Canada.
From June of 2019 to January of 2020, he served as Google cloud consultant, HSBC, based out of Ontario, Canada. Bagga’s next stop was University Toronto School of Continuing Studies, where he was part-time instructor-big data management systems and tools.
Over two and a half years later, in 2020, he joined CIBC as software designer, strategy technology and platform consultant.
Since April of 2020, he has been associated with Pristyn Care as SVP head of engineering and product (CTPO role).
For the past five years, he has been leading tech and product transformation in health tech and D2C, embedding AI/GenAI at scale, driving organisational growth and contributing to Rs 600 Cr+ revenue while aligning product, tech and business strategy with board KPIs.
Now, at Emoha Eldercare, the Indian senior care brand, Bagga will be expected to enhance digital capabilities to create more seamless, data-driven tools that enhance health, safety and engagement for older adults and their caregivers.
