Hameed Jung has been elevated to the role of chief human resources officer, Shriram Bioseed Genetics, DCM Shriram. Jung had joined DCM Shriram as vice president-human resources and group talent & learning head, about three years ago.
Jung’s career began as a humble consultant with Right Management, in 2005. He joined ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company as manager-human resources in 2006. Less than a year into this role, he was elevated to senior manager, human resources, handling sales HR for Delhi, Gujarat, UP and MP.
His next stop was General Motors, where he headed organisational development, change management and learning for over a year and a half.
From December 2009 to November 2015, he was associated with GE Power. He joined as senior manager, human resources-boilers and was promoted to head, human resources-boilers in 2014.
From November 2015 to September 2017, he served GE as HR business partner-power mills factory, supply chain and enabling functions. Less than two years later he was promoted to global HR business partner-construction and commissioning and steam India projects.
March of 2018 saw Hameed Jung moving to Baxter International as head-talent management, India.
Four years into this role, he was elevated to head talent development and learning-India and South East Asia.
It was in October of 2022 that he moved to DCM Shriram as vice president-human resources and group talent & learning head.
An alumnus of Jawaharlal Nehru University, from where he obtained a master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations, Hameed Jung also studied human resource management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
