Gruner Renewable Energy, an Indian sustainable energy company committed to creating renewable fuel from biomass and biowaste, has appointed Hardip Baria as vice president-human resources.
Baria moves from Omnitech Engineering where he was general manager-HR and administration, since 2024.
An alumnus of SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Baria began his professional journey as an engineer trainee with Uttam Galva Steel, in 2002. A year later, he joined Essar Energy: Essar Oil & Gas, as engineer, working out of Surat, Gujarat. Less than three years into this role, he was elevated to deputy manager-human resources. His key responsibilities included manpower planning and recruitment strategy, compensation management, performance management system, HR operations and processes . Another promotion four years later made him manager, human resources. After a long and successful tenure of almost eight years at Essar, Hardip Baria joined Gujarat Gas Company, as manager-learning and development, in February of 2012.
Based out of Surat, he directed change management, organisational development, talent management, performance management, learning and development, recruitment, policies, succession planning, employee engagement, career development, MIS, e-learning, integrated management systems, HSSE initiatives, and so on. In 2015, he was elevated to the position of associate vice president-human resources.
His association with Gujarat Gas lasted almost 12 years after which Daria freelanced as a human resource management consultant for some time before taking up the role of head of human resources and administration, at IBCC Industries. Soon after, he moved to Omnitech Engineering, based out of Rajkot, Gujarat.
Known to be an intelligent, mature and approachable HR leader, Baria will be tasked with designing and implementing people strategies to support Gruner Renewable Energy’s goals of growth and sustainability.
