Mphasis, a global AI-led, platform-driven technology solutions company has selected Girish Srikrishna Paranjpe for the role of chairperson of the Board with effect from 7 January 2026. Having served as an independent director of the company since October of 2024, he will step into the shoes of Jan Kathleen Hier, who was independent director and chairperson till 10 December 2025. Hier had taken over from Davinder Singh Brar, who had superannuated in 2024. Hier had also been independent director of the IT solutions company that specialises in cloud and cognitive services, since December 2015.
Hier’s successor, Girish Paranjpe, is a co-promoter and general partner at Exfinity Venture Partners and also a member of the Investment Committee. He is on the boards of Axis Bank, CRISIL, Axis Max Life Insurance and Modenik Lifestyle as an independent director. He holds a director position at IBS as well.
Paranjpe was operating partner, Advent International from 2014 to 2024. He served as managing director, Bloom International, Bloom Energy from 2011 to 2013.
He led Wipro Financial Service practice as president-financial solutions for over seven and a half years, from 2000 to 2008. In April of 2008, he was elevated to Member of the Board of Wipro. In August of 1990 he became Jt CEO of Wipro’s IT business. He spent over two decades with Wipro. Before that he was financial controller at Wimco from 1985 to 1990.
