    Naveen Kumar elevated to CHRO (auto division), Asahi India Glass

    Kumar has been associated with Asahi for over 13 years now, having joined as deputy manager HR, in 2012 and has managed to climb to CHRO level

    Asahi India Glass has elevated Naveen Kumar to chief human resources officer (CHRO), auto division. His association with Asahi Glass began in 2012 when he joined as deputy manager-HR. Three and a half years into this role, he was promoted to manager-HR.

    From 2022 to 2025 he played deputy general manager-HR before being promoted to general manager, corporate HR in April of 2025.

    Before joining Asahi, Naveen Kumar worked with Halonix, an automotive company, for over four years, from May of 2008 to October of 2012.

    Naveen Kumar is a science graduate from Chaudhary Charan Singh University. He went on to complete an MBA in Human Resource Management from ICFAI University, Hyderabad

    Kumar’s 18-year experience in HR at the corporate and plant level, cover areas such as organisation development (OD), talent management, learning and development (L&D), HR operations, manpower planning & budgeting, performance management systems or PMS, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition (TA). He has also handled campus hiring, HR process automation, digitisation, policy formulation, industrial relations (IR) and legal compliance, MIS, benchmarking studies, and cost-optimisation projects.

    HRKatha wishes Naveen Kumar all the best as he continues to contribute to Asahi, the Indian integrated glass solutions company and a dominant player in the car glass segment.
