    Philip Morris International elevates Kingshuk Das to director-people & culture

    Das’s journey with PMI began in 2012

    Philip Morris International (PMI) has elevated Kingshuk Das to the position of director-people & culture for its India affiliate, IPM India, effective 1 January, 2025. Prior to this, Das was serving as the head-people & culture, global operations & supply chain, at PMI, in Switzerland.

    Das’s journey with PMI began in 2012. He has held various roles, and led regional talent management in Hong Kong. In this role, he partnered with key business leaders to proactively identify talent needs and execute initiatives to ensure effective succession plan, development, and retention of top talent. He has also served as the manager HR business partner, from 2013-2014, and team leader-compensation and benefits, from 2012-2013.

    With over 16 years of experience, Das’s expertise lies in strategic and operational HR, driving sustainable and inclusive growth. He has also worked with many renowned names such as Marico and Tata Group.

    Navaneel Kar, managing director, IPM India, shared, “Kingshuk deeply understands our business and applies this knowledge to deliver effective people and culture solutions. His energy, intellectual curiosity, and diverse market experience will provide valuable insights.     Kingshuk Das is “excited to take on this role during such an important phase for the organisation” and looks forward to “contributing to IPM India’s success and fostering a culture of innovation and growth.”

    An alumnus of TISS, Kingshuk Das enjoys exploring new recipes and hiking to connect with nature, when outside of work. Furthermore, his passion lies in people-centric leadership and enhancing employee experience.
