March of 1999 saw her move to Intercontinental Eros (Parkroyal) as human resources manager. Two and a half years later, she switched to Radisson in a similar capacity, working out of Noida for over a year.

From June 2004 to September 2006, she was self-employed, part owner of Overture People’s Catalyst, an HR consultancy.
Avis India (The Oberoi Group) roped her in for the role of AVP-human resources, in September of 2006. This stint lasted a little less than four years.

Her association with InterContinental Hotels Group began in June 2010, as area director of human resources. For over eight years, she looked after 12 hotels in the North, West and South West Asia.

Baluni’s next stop was The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group where she played general manager, corporate HR.

Then for a year and a half she freelanced as an HR business consultant before joining Sterling Holiday Resorts as vice president-human resources, in May of 2023. This role saw her based in Chennai for well over two years.

In her latest assignment at Ramoji Film City, Nita Bluni will be responsible for the HR function across various divisions, including hospitality and entertainment. Her focus will be to drive growth, manage talent and introduce initiatives that have people in the centre.
