    Reliance Retail appoints Shathi Sharma as VP-HR

    Shathi Sharma has joined Reliance Retail as the vice president – HR. Prior to this role, she was the CHRO at Dixcy Textiles, an apparel manufacturing company headquartered in Bangalore. Sharma comes with 20 years of experience in HR, handling HR processes and people strategy in sectors , such as telecommunication, retail, manufacturing and also banking.

    After completing her postgraduation in HR and personnel administration, from University of Delhi, Sharma started her career with GE, where she served as an associate for more than three years. After that, in 2003, Sharma moved on to Emirates NBD, a banking firm, as a manager. A year later, Sharma moved from Emirates NBD to Aditya Birla Group’s retail business, Madura Fashion & Lifestyle.

    In 2008, Sharma got the opportunity to work in the telecommunication sector, where she joined Telenor as the HR head and played a crucial role in building, growing and motivating the workforce leading to the overall growth of the company. She spent three years at Telenor before moving on to the Landmark Group in 2011 as the head – HR. At Landmark Group, she helped integrate HR processes with the business.

    Sharma has completed an executive leadership management programme (EMPL) in general management, from IIM-Calcutta.
