VerSe Innovation, the tech powerhouse behind platforms such as Dailyhunt and Josh, has appointed Rohit Sandal as its new chief human resources officer (CHRO). This appointment is part of VerSe’s strategic focus on global talent expansion and future-ready workforce development.
At VerSe, Sandal will be tasked with driving global people strategies, enhancing organisational culture, and aligning talent frameworks with the company’s expanding global ambitions.
Sandal takes over from Maya John, the outgoing chief people officer, who played a crucial role in VerSe’s rapid growth phase. Her tenure saw a strengthening of the company’s cultural foundation and expansion of its workforce.
Prior to this, Sandal was associated with Freshworks as its VP-HR. He joined the company in 2020 as its senior director-HR.
With over two decades of HR leadership experience, Sandal has previously held senior roles at Lenovo and Dell. He has a strong track record of leading transformative HR initiatives in dynamic, high-growth environments.
“VerSe Innovation is pushing boundaries in the digital content space, particularly for Bharat. I’m excited to contribute to a company that equally values innovation and people. My goal is to help foster an inclusive, high-impact culture where talent thrives,” said Sandal expressing his enthusiasm.
Umang Bedi, co-founder, VerSe, lauded Johan’s contributions and welcomed Sandal on board. He believes Sandal’s “expertise will be key to building a world-class organisation.”
The appointment comes as VerSe Innovation accelerates efforts to reach breakeven in the second half of this fiscal year, supported by its AI-first product lineup, including NexVerse.ai and Josh Audio.
