Multinational software giant SAP has named Bhrigu Joshi as its new head-people & culture for its UK operations. He will also serve as vice president.
In this new role, Joshi will be part of SAP UK’s CXO team. He will be responsible for driving business priorities while implementing the company’s global people agenda in the region. His focus will be on aligning HR strategies with SAP’s broader objectives.
Before moving to London, Joshi held the same position at SAP Ireland. There, he collaborated with senior leaders to enhance people- management practices. His journey with SAP began in 2019 when he joined the company’s Bangalore office as director – HRBP, technology & innovation.
Joshi brings extensive leadership experience from previous roles. He has worked with many renowned names such as MakeMyTrip, HSBC, KPMG and Thermax. His expertise spans various HR domains, including business partnering, talent acquisition, performance management, and organisational development. He is known for his strategic approach to HR transformation.
Joshi began his career with Thermax in the year 2005. He joined the company as its executive-project management group. In 2010, he moved to KPMG as manager-HR consulting. In this role, he managed key accounts and key relationships for People and Change Advisory Services, KPMG in India.
In 2014, Joshi joined HSBC as its VP-HR. In this role, he was responsible for talent management and strategic resourcing function for HSBC in India. He not only conceptualised but also drove the resourcing and talent strategy for the group entities in line with the global HSBC standards.
Joshi’s next stop was MakeMyTrip, wherein he held the role of director-HR, in the year 2015.
Joshi announced his appointment in a LinkedIn post, sharing his excitement about the role. “Today, I relocated to London to officially commence the next chapter in my professional and personal life,” he wrote. He expressed enthusiasm about working with his team, calling them his “lovely OneP&C team in the UK.”
