udChalo, the consumer technology company, has roped in Shivam Arren as its chief executive officer (CEO). Arren moves from Kailash Vahan Udyog, where he was director.

The first two years of Arren’s professional journey were spent at Infosys as a software engineer, from 2003 to 2005. He then joined Cognizant in 2007, as business analyst, working out of Hyderabad. A year into this role, he relocated to Pune, to join Kailash Vahan Udyog.

He has spent over 16 years at the company, which is one of the tier-1 suppliers to India automobiles OEMs such as Tata. His key deliverables at the firm included EBITDA improvement, new business additions, driving operational excellence projects. He also led business development and operations management. Additionally, he was responsible for P&L.

Shivam Arren studied electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi. He also completed a PG diploma in management, strategy, sales and marketing, operations and finance, from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Ideation, product development, marketing strategy, customer relationship management and business development are his areas of expertise.

Ravi Kumar, founder, udChalo, believes that Arren’s “extensive experience in business development and strategic leadership aligns perfectly with our mission to evolve into a seamless super app of our soldiers and veterans.”

Kumar is also “confident that under Arren’s guidance, udChalo will continue to innovate and expand its services, reinforcing our position as ‘Desh Ka Bharosa’ in all four domains viz housing, travel, shopping and financial services at the same time driving our business to the next level.”

A certified Dale Carnegie Trainer, Arren will prove to be an asset to udChalo, the consumer technology firm catering to the members of the Indian Armed Forces, paramilitary forces and their dependants—offering housing, travel, shopping, financial services to make life simpler for the country’s soldiers.

Arren himself is looking forward to being part of a “company that has dedicated itself to serving our armed forces and is now expanding its reach and verticals to benefit the entire nation.”

He is gearing up to build “on the company’s strong foundation, leading it into a new era of growth and service excellence, and working with our team of veterans and industry experts to enhance our services and parallelly create more employment opportunities for our fauji families.”

HRKatha wishes him all the luck in his latest assignment.
