Shobit Malhotra has taken on the role of CEO-international business, iD Fresh Food. He moves from Colgate-Palmolive where he spent the last 17 years.

A physics graduate from St Stephen’s College, Shobit Malhotra completed a master’s degree in international business from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, in 1999.

Malhotra joined Unilever in 1999, as a management trainee. Over a year later, he was promoted to area sales manager. Three years into this role came another promotion that made him brand manager/senior brand manager. After six years with Unilever, he moved to PepsiCo in 2005, as marketing manager.

October of 2006 was witness to Shobit Malhotra taking on the role of regional sales manager, Colgate-Palmolive. Over three years into this role, he was elevated to country manager, working out of Istanbul, Turkey.

In 2012, he moved to Kazakhstan, as general manager for over three years. From November 2018 to June 2022, he was based out of Johannesburg, South Africa, as customer development director. June of 2022 saw him relocating to Jeddah/Dubai, as VP and general manager.

Now, as CEO-international business, iD Fresh Food, Malhotra will be responsible for strengthening the presence of the Indian company— that provides ready-to-cook, fresh and preservative-free food — in the GCC region, through innovations and partnerships.

HRKatha wishes Shobit Malhotra all the best in his endeavour to scale iD Fresh Food, to new heights across international borders.
