After over a decade-long association with Bumi Armada, Sasha Vijayananthan has moved to Sodexo to play senior vice president, human resources- Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA).
Vijayananthan is backed by about three decades of experience having begun her professional journey with Ernst & Young, Malaysia, as audit senior-assurance. Almost five years later, she moved to PwC as consultant in May of 2001. She then spent over a year with The Audit Commission, UK as an auditor before joining Ernst & Young as an auditor in 2003. By the time she moved on from there in 2013, she had become director-risk services.
Sime Darby Berhad appointed her vice president 1, group risk management, in July of 2013, working out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It was in March of 2016 that she began her long association with Bumi Armada, the Malaysia-based international offshore energy facilities and services provider. She joined as head of internal audit and risk management in March of 2016. Over three years into this role, she was elevated to senior vice president, business and corporate partnering. This role saw her leading group HR strategy across multiple geographies and advising the CEO and Board on talent, culture and organisational performance, for over seven years.
Now, in her latest assignment at Sodexo, the food and facilities services brand, she will be tasked with leading the talent agenda, handling organisational transformation and leadership development among other responsibilities.
