RLG by Reconomy, the environmental compliance and circular economy solutions provider has roped in Suruchi Bhatia for the post of chief human resources officer (CHRO). She will be tasked with leading culture transformation and developing the internal talent pipeline at RLG.

Bhatia moves from Azure Power, the sustainable energy solutions company where she was general manager-HR since 2023. Her stint at Azure lasted two years and nine months, as lead-HR business partner and CoE-performance management systems.

After studying electrical engineering from Punjab Technical University in 2002, Bhatia completed an MBA in human resource management from the University Business School, in 2005.

Her HR journey began with IFFCO-TOKIO Insurance Services, where she joined as executive-training and development. Two years into this role, in 2007, she was elevated to senior executive-training and development.

In 2008, she moved to KEC International as assistant manager-HR, handling an HR generalist profile for a little less than two years.

Her next stop was Mawana Sugars, where she was initially deputy manager-HR, for less than a year and a half, before getting promoted to additional manager-HR, in 2011.

By 2013, she found herself playing head-human resources at Camfil Air Filtration. After almost two years of managing the complete HR portfolio for 200 employees for the Indian subsidiary, she was elevated to the position of global HR head-power systems, in 2015.

September of 2015 saw her joining Omax Autos as head-corporate HR. For the next five years, she played a key role in streamlining various HR processes for about 550 white-collar employees.

Next came a short stint with ASA Industries, as head of human resources before Bhatia’s association with Azure Power began. She joined the renewable power company as deputy general manager-HR, in November 2021, and was soon elevated to general manager-HR.

Backed by over 19 years of experience, talent management and retention initiatives that facilitate both lateral and vertical movement of talent are Bhatia’s forte.

Known to be an empathetic professional with a problem-solving approach, her skills will prove to be an asset at RLG by Reconomy, a company headquartered in Munich and specialising in Extended Producer Obligations or EPR plans for manufactures / producers.

Suruchi Bhatia is looking forward to “taking advantage of the strengths of brand Reconomy” with her priority being to “build the culture and establish the organisation as an Employer of Choice.”
