    Udayan Dutt to be president-group HR, RPG

    After a long and successful association of over nine years with Reckitt, Udayan Dutt will be joining RPG Enterprises as president-group HR, starting 2 June 2025.

    This alumnus of Delhi University, who also completed a PGD in Personnel Management & IR from XLRI Jamshedpur, started his professional journey as an executive trainee with DCM Shriram and then served as management trainee-HR with Airtel in 1999.

    He joined Sasken Communication Technologies as associate-HR, remuneration, in 2000.

    From 2001 to 2006, he served Hewitt Associates as C&B Consulting and Outsourcing.

    Then came a long association of over nine years, with Unilever. He joined as general manager-reward, South Asia, in 2006. Five and a half years into this role, he was elevated to director-human resources and corporate affairs, Sri Lanka. For the next two years and nine months, he was the head of the function, responsible for partnering the business on all HR topics including talent acquisition and management, leadership development, reward and HR service delivery.

    The next promotion happened in 2014, which made him HR director, marketing, South Asia, Unilever.

    March of 2016 saw Udayan Dutt moving to Reckitt, as regional HR director, South Asia. A little less than two years into this role, he was promoted to regional HR director, Africa, Middle East and South Asia. Another elevation made him global functions HR director, in 2019. By 2023, Dutt had reached the position of vice president, human resources for global finance, IT & digitisation, legal and transformation.

    In his new assignment at RPG, Udayan Dutt looks “forward to championing the Group’s people-first culture, where happiness stands as a core value alongside unleash talent, touch lives, and outperform—creating a truly unique and empowering environment.”
