Xpheno, a specialist staffing firm, has appointed Khyati Mehta as its new chief human resource officer (CHRO). With strengths in performance management, coaching, change leadership, and talent pipeline development, she has proven herself as a strategic partner in organisational growth and continuity.

The announcement comes at a time when the company is undergoing major expansion, including the recent induction of a CEO designate, and preparing for an IPO within the next two years.

Mehta brings 15 years of experience in human resources. Her most recent stint was at [24]7.ai, a customer experience firm with a predominantly young workforce. She joined the company in the year 2020 as its senior HRBP and employee relations head, India. In this role, she consistently drove high-impact employee engagement and retention strategies. Through innovative initiatives such as Happy Hearts, Just 16, I’M Culture, and HUM Premier League, she achieved over 94 per cent employee satisfaction for five years, while cutting engagement costs by 29 per cent and creating a vibrant workplace culture.

Prior to that, she has also worked with other companies such as Firstsource and Notch It UP.

Francis Padamadan, CEO designate, Xpheno, praised Mehta’s ability to connect with younger employees and nurture in-house talent. “She brings the right mix of energy and experience,” he noted. “Khyati will be vital in transforming our recruiters into specialists and boosting internal capabilities, ” said
Mehta expressing excitement about the opportunity, saying, “Xpheno’s vision of aligning employees with the role, team, manager, and brand deeply resonates with me. I look forward to shaping recruiter productivity in an AI-driven staffing environment.”

With the goal of strengthening its talent capabilities, Xpheno is focusing on building a future-ready workforce. The appointment of Mehta signals a strong commitment to employee development, particularly as the company gears up to support over 200 new Greenfield Global Capability Centres (GCCs) projected to open in India in the next few years.

Now in its ninth year, Xpheno has crossed the INR 500 crore turnover mark. Co-founder Anil Ethanur emphasised that maximising employee potential is central to the company’s growth strategy. With over 60 new GCCs launching annually in India, the specialist staffing space is booming—and Xpheno is positioning itself to lead the charge.
