    22 offers with CTC of 1 crore+ at IIT Bombay placements

    According to the IIT Bombay’s placements and internship report, out of the total 388 companies that participated, 364 made offers

    A significant 22 students of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay’s 2023-24 batch received job offers with annual CTC of over Rs 1 crore. A total of 1,064 job offers were made, of which 1,475 were accepted. The average CTC was reported to be Rs 23.50 lakhs, and the Institute recorded almost 75 per cent placement.

    According to the Institute’s Placements and Internship Report 2023-24, this year witnessed 1,475 students being successfully placed by the end of 30 June. Last year, a record 1,516 job offers were made. Out of the 388 companies that participated this year, 364 made job offers. The participation was 12 per cent more than the previous year.

    The average CTC offered was Rs 23.50 lakh per annum, with the median salary being Rs 17.92 lakh per annum. The average CTC has increased by more than 7.7 per cent compared to last year, when the average CTC offered was Rs 21.82 lakh per annum.

    Pre-placement offers were made to 258 students of IIT Bombay, with 78 students accepting international offers, from organisations in the US, the Netherlands, Japan, Taiwan, Europe, Singapore and the UAE.

    Most jobs were offered in the engineering and technology space, followed by information technology (IT)/software, consulting, finance and research & development.

    Maximum students (232) were placed from the electrical engineering department of IIT Bombay, followed by 230 from computer engineering and 229 from mechanical engineering.
