Joydeep Saha, a seasoned insurance industry professional with over 20 years of experience, steps into the top role after a significant tenure at ManipalCigna. He has been with the company for over seven years, most recently serving as the appointed actuary and chief officer – overseeing actuarial, product, reinsurance, group underwriting and analytics. His elevation to the MD & CEO position reflects both his strategic vision and deep institutional knowledge.

Armed with a master’s degree in Applied Statistics and Informatics from IIT Bombay, Saha brings a data-driven approach to business strategy, making him well-suited to lead the company through a period of industry-wide transformation and rising demand for personalised health solutions.

Prior to this, Saha has held many leadership roles at several renowned names such as Cigna TTK Health Insurance, Max Bupa, Religare Health Insurance, L&T General Insurance, Raheja QBE, IFFCO Tokio General Insurance and GE Capital.

Jérôme Droesch, CEO, International Organizations, Domestic Health and Health Services, Cigna Healthcare International Health, said, “Joydeep’s deep understanding of the organisation and the broader health insurance means that he is well-equipped to lead the company into its next phase of strategic growth.”

Commenting on his appointment, Saha said, “With the strong foundation and a talented team, I look forward to expanding our reach, leveraging technology to enhance customer experience and further strengthen our market leadership.”
