The global home appliances and consumer electronics company has announced this strategic restructuring on the heels of its historic Initial Public Offering in October. The objective of the reorganisation across sales and marketing, production, HR, and customer care and service verticals is to enhance responsible management and further improve rapid and accurate decision-making.

The move is aimed at enhancing management operations in the India market, empowering Indian leadership, and further strengthening LGEIL’s organisational capabilities by improving local efficiencies.

In the words of Hong Ju Jeon, managing director, LG Electronics India, “Following our successful IPO, we see our responsibility to our shareholders and customers evolving. This restructuring is not just about role changes; it is about empowering our existing leadership team to enable faster and better decision-making and more cohesive management. By further streamlining our sales, manufacturing, and customer service functions, we are positioning LGEIL to aggressively capture new market opportunities while further consolidating and enhancing our market leadership.”

As LGEIL functions as a publicly-listed entity, it is looking to streamline its leadership ranks to ensure more agility in strategic decision-making.
