    Yubi appoints Mitesh Nijhara as head HR – banking

    With 17 years in HR leadership, Nijhara to lead people strategy for the financial technology platform’s banking business

    Yubi, an AI-powered financial technology platform that acts as an operating system for debt lifecycle has elevated Mitesh Nijhara to head HR – banking, effective August 2026. In the new role, he will oversee HR initiatives for the company’s banking vertical, including talent planning, organisational design, employee engagement, and alignment with business growth objectives.

    The elevation follows his tenure as head HR – collections at Yubi from May 2023 to July 2026, a role where he managed people operations for one of the firm’s core functions. The company cited his extensive background in HR business partnering, people management, and scaling teams across financial services, tech, and high-growth organisations as key to the promotion.

    Nijhara brings nearly two decades of experience across diverse sectors. He started his HR journey as an assistant manager – HR at Hindusthan National Glass & Industries from June 2009 to June 2011. He then spent June 2011 to December 2013 as assistant manager – HR & IR – at Delhi Cargo Service Centre.

    From December 2013 to January 2016, he served as HR business partner at FedEx Express in New Delhi. He later joined HCL Healthcare India as HR manager from October 2016 to April 2018 and moved to CARS24 as senior manager HR from April 2018 to October 2019.

    In November 2019, Nijhara joined BYJU’S in Noida as assistant vice president – HR. He was elevated to deputy vice president – HR in October 2022, and held that position till May 2023.

    At Yubi for the past three years, Mitesh Nijhara has now taken on a broader mandate. His career reflects strong capabilities in HR strategy, talent management, employee relations, and business partnering across regulated and fast-scaling environments.
