Jindal (India) has appointed Amit Khanna as chief human resources officer (CHRO).
Operating from New Delhi, Khanna will spearhead the company’s HR and administration functions across its corporate operations and manufacturing facilities. He will work closely with executive leadership to drive workforce capability, culture, and organisational transformation.
Khanna boasts a distinguished career spanning over two decades in human resources across infrastructure, telecom, IT and energy. He spent nearly 14 years at Bangalore International Airport(BIAL), serving as the head of talent management and HR operations from 2012 to 2016 before advancing to AVP & head HR from 2021 to 2026. In this senior role, he drove large-scale workforce transformations, managed COVID-19 people strategies, and facilitated major operational milestones, including the commissioning of Terminal 2.
His foundational career began at NTPC as deputy manager HR from 1999 to 2006, where he specialised in plant operations and industrial relations. He subsequently managed regional HR functions at Tata Consultancy Services (2006–2007) and directed talent acquisition and HR operations across northern circles for Bharti Airtel (2007–2010). He later served as HR head – wireless business at Reliance Communications from 2010 to 2012.
Equipped with a Doctorate in Management, Khanna’s leadership expertise spans digital HR transformations, talent retention, and organisational development, positioning him to lead Jindal (India) next growth phase.
