Now engineers from the rural areas of Ramnagar, Almora, Haldwani and other cities of Uttarakhand will not have to relocate to the metros for jobs. Team Computers, an IT infrastructure and information solution provider—delivering innovative and customised technology services across India and the US—has launched its global delivery centre (GDC) at Tatva Hills, Uttarakhand.
The objective is to empower local talent and drive economic growth in the region. More than 50 tech jobs have already been created, allowing locals to land suitable jobs and get a taste of the corporate world without moving out of the region. The initiative will also significantly contribute to making Uttarakhand an important part of the Indian tech ecosystem.
Team Computers has also partnered with local engineering and polytechnic colleges to offer intensive 15-30 day training programmes. These initiatives allow students with the necessary skills to excel in the tech industry, fostering a robust talent pipeline in Uttarakhand.
The company is “committed to making Uttarakhand a new tech hub for India.” As Ranjan Chopra, CEO, Team Computers, rightly puts it, “Our global delivery centres not only create jobs but also provide opportunities for talent in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to contribute to the digital economy while staying close to their roots.”
Team Computers already has GDCs in Noida and Bangalore. By integrating rural talent into its operations, the company is fostering regional growth while ensuring high-quality service delivery for its clients.
‘The Tatva Hills GDC is our effort to stop the migration of youth by creating tech careers right at their doorstep,’ says Ajay Sharma, who is heading the division. Team Computers is committed to further expansion and driving long-term impact in the region, reaffirming its mission to create opportunities and transform lives through technology.
