The top 25 per cent of the batch in PGDM and PGDHRM received an average stipend of Rs. 1,71,587 and Rs. 1,65,788, respectively.

IIT Madras students receive 102 job offers

The summer placement session of the Indian Institute of Management-Ranchi saw participation by 106 companies, of which 60 were first-time recruiters. The session saw 100 per cent placement for the Institute’s 253 students of 2018–20 batch of students — 186 in the post graduate diploma in management (PGDM) course and 67 in the post graduate diploma in human resource management (PGDHRM) course.

The average stipend of internship also witnessed a hike of 6.45 per cent, which increased the average stipend to Rs 90,830 for the PGDM batch. The PGDHRM students were offered an average stipend of Rs 95,152, a 10 per cent increase from last year’s session.

Maximum jobs were offered in sales and marketing (44 per cent), while finance and operations roles took second and third position, with 16 per cent and 15 per cent respectively. The average stipend for the top 25 per cent of the batch in PGDM was Rs. 1,71,587 and for PGDHRM was Rs. 1,65,788.

In addition to the regular participants, such as ACG Worldwide, Berger Paints, Deloitte, Google, HP, ICICI Bank, RPG Group, Tata Steel, Value Labs, Vedanta, and Wipro Consumer Care, there were 60 new recruiters, including Ernst & Young, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, JSPL, Microland, Ola and Siemens. The positions offered were in business development and strategy, campaign management, equity research, corporate finance, supply chain management, operations analytics, strategic sourcing, product analyst and business analyst. The HR students have been offered positions in industrial relations, CSR, sustainability, HR analytics, talent acquisition and HR generalist.
