Myntra has geared up for its End of Reason (EOR) sale. It usually experiences a surge in demand during this period every year. Therefore, it is adding 20,000 gig workers, including about 4,500 delivery partners and 1,000 customer-service agents as well as personnel to handle the logistics and last-mile delivery.
The objective is to focus on customer satisfaction even while creating job opportunities during the 22nd edition of the EOR sale, from 31 May to 12 June 2025.
Interestingly, a significant 22 per cent of the Myntra workforce at its warehouse consists of women who are involved in grading, sorting and packing the items for delivery at the fulfilment centres across the metros including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bengaluru.
It is pertinent to mention here that Myntra has been expanding its business, with funds to the tune of over Rs 1,000 crore raised recently from Singapore-based FK Myntra Holdings, its parent firm. The company is spreading out not just in India but internationally too.
In 2024, it raised funds to the tune of $81 million from Flipkart, which acquired the platform in 2014.
In March this Indian fashion e-commerce platform had bagged headlines for launching MynShield, a hyper-personalised and inclusive insurance programme that set a new benchmark for employee care. This insurance initiative was born when the firm recognised that no two employees have the same needs. The programme empowers individuals to tailor their health coverage according to their unique life circumstances.
