Tata Motors recognised 98 employees for completing multi-skill certification, at a ceremony held at the Management Training Centre. This has revived a crucial workforce-development programme that had been stalled.
The certification programme enables workers to gain expertise across multiple departments, improving job efficiency and career-growth opportunities.
Union leaders played a key role in reinstating the certification process. Their efforts ensured employees could enhance their skills and receive wage benefits under company policies. Senior executives, including Pranav Kumar, head-HR, Tata Motors, attended the event. They congratulated the certified employees and highlighted the importance of continuous skill development. The ceremony also reinforced the strong collaboration between management and the workers’ union.
The union has scheduled a General Meeting on 3 February, to discuss upcoming employee initiatives. Preparations are already underway, with a focus on expanding skill- enhancement programmes and other workforce- development efforts.
This initiative strengthens Tata Motors’ commitment to upskilling its employees. It not only improves operational efficiency but also boosts morale and career prospects. With this successful revival, similar programmes may follow, further benefiting the workforce.
