Michael Dell, CEO of Dell Technologies, has shared his vision for a balanced and efficient approach to work. Speaking on the podcast, In Good Company, he highlighted the importance of working smarter, maintaining personal well-being, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Dell emphasised that long hours do not always lead to better results. Instead, he advocates for a strategy that maximises efficiency and preserves energy. He revealed his own disciplined routine, which includes going to bed early and rising before dawn for exercise. This schedule, he noted, allows him to stay focused and productive without sacrificing health.

He also stressed the role of humour in the workplace. According to Dell, laughter and light-hearted interactions contribute to a healthier and more collaborative work environment. This, he believes, is an essential element of a successful organisation.

For young professionals, Dell advised taking risks and pursuing meaningful challenges. He encouraged them to experiment, learn from failures, and solve complex problems, emphasising that boldness and resilience are keys to long-term success.

Dell’s insights underline a simple yet impactful message: balance work with rest and play. By integrating these elements, he believes professionals can achieve greater satisfaction and success in their careers.
