Population Services International India (PSI India) has achieved a significant milestone. The company has become the first non-governmental organisation (NGO) in India to be awarded the esteemed “Happiest Places to Work®” certification. This certification highlights PSI India’s dedication to cultivating a workplace environment that emphasises employee well-being, inclusivity and engagement.

PSI India received the recognition after an anonymous employee happiness survey. The survey used a unique framework developed by the Happiness Research Academy. This thorough process ensures the certification reflects genuine employee feedback and accurately measures their satisfaction levels.

Mukesh Kumar Sharma, executive director, PSI India, expressed pride in this achievement. He emphasised that this recognition demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to creating a supportive and motivating workplace where employees feel valued. “Our employees are our greatest asset, and this certification reflects our ongoing efforts to create a workplace where everyone feels valued, supported and motivated to achieve our mission,” he added.

Namrata Tata, managing partner, Happiest Places to Work®, praised PSI India’s accomplishment, describing it as a reflection of their commitment to prioritising employee happiness and well-being. “We eagerly anticipate continuing our collaboration with PSI in advancing workplace well-being and happiness,” she further highlighted.

PSI India has long been recognised for its innovative and sustainable health and well-being initiatives in communities across the country. The “Happiest Places to Work®” certification not only reinforces its standing as a leader in community impact but also as an organisation deeply committed to the well-being of its employees.
