    Gymshark gets Sian Keane as chief people officer

    Keane was earlier chief people officer, Farfetch, where she has served since August 2018.

    Gymshark, the brand that offers workout/fitness clothing, has roped in Sian Keane to be its chief people officer (CPO). Keane was earlier chief people officer, Farfetch, a company she joined in 2018. She has been associated with MPB for a year, serving as non-executive director since August 2023. She has also been an advisor to Motorway since 2022.

    Keane spent the initial years of her career as a senior consultant with Hudson. From 2000 to 2004, she successfully handled contract recruitment within finance and was responsible for the telecommunications, IT and public sectors. She then moved on to Reflect, an HR consultancy, in 2004, serving as a client relationship manager for well over three years.

    In June of 2008, she joined Reed Consulting as practice director. For four and a half years, she created new business opportunities for Reed Consulting in talent acquisition and management.

    December 2012 saw her in the role of director, at StartHR, providing HR consultancy and direct sourcing support to early-stage companies who did not require an in-house team.

    In April 2013, she began an association with Farfetch, which lasted for more than 11 years. She joined as head of HR and in less than two years, she was promoted to global talent and people director. For a year and a half she successfully worked with people teams in the UK, Portugal, Russia, US, Brazil, China, Hong Kong and Japan. In 2016, she was elevated to vice president talent and people. The next promotion came a year and a half into this role, which made her EVP, people. Her last designation at Farfetch was that of chief people officer.

    A founder member (education and community partnerships committee) of the Fashion Minority Alliance, Sian Keane has been in people-related roles from the very start of her professional journey.
