Apollo Tyres has appointed Mayank Jauhari as group head-HR to drive its global HR strategy across markets. In the new role, he will lead the design of global rewards architecture, performance management, HR technology adoption, mobility programmes and the overall HR-transformation roadmap. He will also partner with teams across commercial operations and supply chain to align people capabilities with business growth.

Jauhari joins Apollo after spending nearly a decade with AP Moller – Maersk. His last assignment at Maersk was as global human resources director from October 2025 to July 2026, where he managed HR partnerships for operations including Maersk GCC, finance, corporate affairs and strategy. Before that, from June 2023 to September 2025, he was director HR for GSC, CCO office and global procurement & fleet management, where he rolled out people processes across Maersk’s global centres and played a key role in setting up HR operations in Poland and Mexico.

Mayank Jauhari’s career spans over 20 years across pharma, FMCG, BFSI and logistics. He started in 2005 as a summer trainee at Whirlpool, working on employee-engagement benchmarks. From May 2006 to July 2007, he was a management trainee at HCL Technologies handling generalist HR and later HRIS.

He then moved to ICICI Prudential Life Insurance as HR manager from July 2007 to March 2010, supporting C&B, talent management and campus hiring, and later as sales HRBP for DM and Banca channels.

Between January 2010 and December 2014 at PepsiCo India, he rose from manager – organisation capability to HRBP – sales and general manager – organisation capability, anchoring performance, talent management and development centres.

From December 2014 to January 2017 he was senior HR manager at Novartis, heading C&B for the country pharma business and supporting the immunology sales team. At Maersk from January 2017, he led HRBP roles for 3000+ employees, headed rewards across India, Philippines and China for 12,000+ associates, and led Asia C&B during a global Workday migration.

At Apollo Tyres, Jauhari will focus on building a future-ready HR operating model.

HRKatha wishes Mayank Jauhari all the best!
