Monica Sanchez y Madrid has been elevated to senior director HR for global commercial and new revenue streams at PepsiCo.
Her association with PepsiCo had begun way back in 2007. She had moved from the company in 2012 and was back in 2015 for a second stint, when she joined as manager total rewards-North America.Ten months into this role she was elevated to senior manager-HR, LATM. Over two and a half years later, she was promoted to director-talent management-Mexico. This role saw her moving from New York to Mexico.
By September of 2021 she had been made director HR sales-Mexico. Over a year into this role, she was promoted yet again to senior director talent management-Mexico. Another promotion in 2023 made her senior director, workforce management-Latin America. She then played senior director, talent management-international for seven months before the latest promotion came along.
A Psychology graduate, Monica Sanchez y Madrid began her career with Kraft Foods in 2004, as analyst, talent acquisition-Mexico. She was promoted to coordinator HR sales and supply chain-Mexico in 2005. In 2006 she became head of talent management-Mexico.
It is in 2007 that she came to be associated with PepsiCo, as C&B regional coordinator, Latin America. A promotion every year for three years saw her climb to the position of manager-talent management and talent acquisition-Mexico. By the time she moved on from PepsiCo in March of 2011 she had reached the position of manager HR shared services centre-Latin America. This first stint with PepsiCo had lasted well over five years.
Then came a stint with Diageo for two years, as senior manager HR-Mexico and then senior manager total rewards-Mexico. In 2015, she returned to PepsiCo, and now with the latest elevation, she has only strengthened her leadership journey with the company.
