Unilever has elevated Prateek Shrivastav to head-human resources, personal care business, R&D, and organisation effectiveness CoE.

Till now, he was head HR, R&D, organisation effectiveness, workforce transformation and people analytics
Shrivastav’s association with Unilever began 11 years ago when he joined as a management trainee under the
Unilever Future Leaders Programme, back in May of 2014. A year later, he was promoted to plant HR head, working out of the Goa Personal Wash Factory. Less than two years into this role, he was elevated to HR business partner-supply chain India, based out of Mumbai. Another promotion three years later made him senior manager-compensation and benefits. From 2022 to 2024 he led talent, organisation effectiveness and HR analytics. About two years into this role he was elevated yet again to head HR- R&D, organisation effectiveness, workforce transformation and people analytics in May of 2024.

This engineering graduate had actually begun his professional journey as an analyst, India Sourcing Centre, purchasing and supply management practice, at McKinsey & company, in 2010.

Interestingly, while pursuing an MBA in human resources management from XLRI Jamshedpur, Shrivastav had interned with Unilever for two months, designing an attraction and retention strategy for First Bounce Candidates for Unilever South Africa, based out of Durban.

With this elevation, Prateek Shrivastav gets an opportunity to continue pursuing his passion for enabling rapid growth and focussing on leadership development, and data-driven decision-making.
HRKatha wishes him all the best!
