Softdel has appointed Shailesh Banaeet as director – human resources. He will lead the company’s HR mandate across India, the US and Japan.
Banaeet will oversee strategic HR, organisational development, talent management, and business partnering. The focus will be on driving culture, digitising HR operations, and building leadership capability to support Softdel’s global expansion plans.
Shailesh Banaeet has 19+ years in the HR domain, with deep expertise in scaling teams and aligning people strategy with business outcomes.
The leadership move underscores Softdel’s investment in strengthening its global people infrastructure.
Banaeet comes to Softdel from Cybernetik, where he worked as HR Leader from December 2023 to Dec 2025. He led an organisation redesign that cut workforce costs by 12 per cent and boosted productivity by 10 per cent. He also achieved Rs 70–80L in savings through automation and vendor consolidation, and improved HR process efficiency by over 35 per cent across multiple geographies. A key focus was building succession plans for critical roles in India, UAE, and the US.
Before Cybernetik, he was HR head at a firm from May 2022 to December 2023. There he enabled 25–30 per cent IT business growth without a rise in HR costs and increased workforce scalability by over 20 per cent through advisory on structure and planning.
At Nitor Infotech from Sep 2018 to May 2022, he served as an associate director – people function. He partnered with leadership to scale an 800+ employee organisation by 25–30 per cent, cut high-skill cost pressure by 10–15 per cent, and created a centralised OD and L&OD setup that doubled leadership readiness.
Banaeet’s earlier roles include nine months as HR manager at Datwyler IT services from January 2018 to Sep 2018, where he established India operations from scratch and supported global product teams. From April 2014 to January 2018, at Lear Corporation, he enhanced APAC leadership pipeline by 30 per cent and improved LMS adoption by 40 per cent.
He began his journey as HR manager in January 2007 handling recruitment, onboarding, OD, and employee relations.
At Softdel, Banaeet will leverage this cross-industry experience to drive workforce transformation across three continents.
