    Sudip Indani joins Lockton as MD-people solutions

    Indani moves from Howden where he was EVP, national head-health & benefits practice

    After a successful stint of over five years with Howden, Sudip Indani has taken on the role of managing director-people solutions, Lockton.

    Sudip Indani began his professional journey in February 2003, with Eureka Forbes, as a sales executive, based out of Indore. Six months later, he joined ICICI Lombard General Insurance as operations executive.

    From 2005 to 2007, he worked with India Insure Risk Management and Insurance Broking Services. He joined as senior executive, client servicing and went on to become assistant manager, business development.

    Indani’s next stop was Aon, where he served as business head-employee benefits, Delhi NCR. For over two years, he was responsible for building overall EB value propositions for North India.

    October of 2009 saw Indani joining Willis Towers Watson, as senior manager-employee benefits. This is where he spent the longest tenure of his career—almost 11 years. He started off as senior manager-employee benefits, and was elevated to business head-North & East India/AVP-employee benefits, in 2010. Two years into this role, he began to lead client servicing for West India as vice president-employee benefits. By 2017 he had become head business development –Singapore and senior consultant-Asia and Australia (health and benefits). This role saw him working out of Singapore. At the time of moving on from Willis Towers Watson, Indani was director (head, health& benefits, Thailand and senior regional consultant Asia and Australia), based out of Bangkok.

    It was in July 2020 that his association with Howden began. For the first three and a half years, he was president and national head-health and benefits practice. In January 2024 he was elevated to EVP, national head-health and benefits practice.

    At Lockton, Sudip will spearhead the company’s ambitious growth plans in India, developing a unique proposition for its People Solutions business across the country.

    A computer science graduate, Indani has completed an executive MBA in management strategy and leadership from Washigton University in St Louis-Olin Business School.

    He has also completed a PG diploma in insurance and risk management.

    At Lockton, the insurance brokerage firm, Indani will “lead a team of industry experts to provide exceptional value to our clients in benefits broking, consulting, risk management, data analytics, wellbeing, and healthcare strategy and management throughthe firm’s tech-enabled benefits and advisory approach.”
