After an almost decade-long association with Juniper Networks, Yogita Shanbagh has joined Flipkart as vice president-human resources.

She joined Juniper in 2016 to play senior human resources business partner. Almost four years into this role, she was elevated to HR senior business partner. Another promotion over six and a half years later, put her in the position of HR head-Juniper Networks India.

An associate certified coach (ACC) from the International Coaching Federation (ICF), Yogita Shanbagh also holds an MBA in Human Resources Management.

She served Wipro Technologies for over a decade, starting off as HR business partner in December of 2005. She gained cross-functional expertise spanning recruitment, talent management, compensation and people processes.

During her over two decade long career, Shanbag has helped modernise HR systems by implementing cloud-based HCM platforms, leveraged data analytics to drive decisions on talent, performance, and diversity. She has also streamlined HR operations, achieving significant cost savings through automation and process redesign. Additionally, she has successful negotiated vendor contracts and optimised benefits programmes to reduce overhead. Shanbag also has experience ensuring global HR compliance with labour laws, data-privacy regulations and ethical standards.

In her latest assignment at Flipkart, the e-commerce platform, Yogita Shanbagh will be tasked with helping strengthen Flipkart’s people and leadership framework.

HRKatha wishes her all the best in this endeavour!
