Tredence, a data science and AI solutions provider, has elevated Rekha Nair to chief human resources officer (CHRO), effective 1 July, 2024. Nair joined Tredence in 2021 as its head-HR for India, spearheading the company’s talent management programme, significantly contributing to the development of its data science, data engineering and AI capabilities.

Nair is a strategic HR leader with over two decades of experience in the consulting industry. Under her leadership, Tredence experienced a four-time growth in hiring, building a robust workforce of 2,500 professionals.

In her new capacity, Nair will oversee Tredence’s global HR strategy, focusing on developing a scalable talent model and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation to accelerate the company’s growth. Her key priorities will include scaling training across practices, upskilling and creating growth opportunities in data science, data engineering, prescriptive AI and generative AI, ultimately enhancing the value delivered to enterprise clients.

Nair will also champion initiatives promoting career growth and mobility while building a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Prior to joining Tredence, Nair held leadership roles at many renowned organisations, such as Capgemini, Mphasis and HCLTech, where she headed HR for global business units and oversaw talent management, learning and transformational HR initiatives.

Her longest stint was with Capgemini, where she held many managerial and leadership roles for over ten years. She joined the company in 2010 as its HR business partner.

Welcoming Nair into the organisation, Shub Bhowmick, CEO and co-founder, Tredence, said, “The executive leadership team has absolute confidence that she will continue to elevate our global team and its skills, building our brand as a company that delivers the best AI innovations and partners with leading enterprises to operationalise these capabilities and create breakaway competitive advantage.”

Speaking on her appointment, Nair said, “Our teams embody our company’s ACE framework, serving as advisors to clients, coaches and captains to our teams, and entrepreneurs to the business, enabling enterprise clients to accelerate business transformation and improve outcomes. I am confident that we can strengthen Tredence’s position as a data science and AI leader, providing fresh insights and innovative business solutions.”
